With 21,000 students, the HES-SO became in 20 years the largest University of Applied Sciences of Switzerland, the second university for tertiary level A behind the University of Zurich. Like the other seven Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences, the HES-SO is an essential partner for training and research in Switzerland.

Our social work department offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and continuing education programmes that train students to become professionals in the fields of social services, social education, socio-cultural counselling and psychomotor therapy. The department also performs research in these areas.
